LPIC Certification
Introduction
LPIC (Linux Professional Institute Certification) is a globally recognized, vendor-neutral Linux certification program developed by the Linux Professional Institute (LPI), a non-profit organization founded in 1999. Unlike vendor-specific certifications, LPIC validates practical Linux administration skills applicable across all major distributions, including Debian, Ubuntu, CentOS, and RHEL. LPI certifications are respected worldwide and are widely pursued by system administrators and Linux engineers.
The LPIC program is structured into three levels: LPIC-1 (Junior Linux Administrator), LPIC-2 (Advanced Linux Professional), and LPIC-3 (Senior Level, with specializations in Mixed Environments, Security, and Virtualization & Containerization). Each level consists of two separate exam papers.
